COAL CITY – Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish is holding a Mardi Gras 125th anniversary Dinner Dance Fundraiser on March 1.

The dinner will be from 5 to 11 p.m. at the Berst Center, 245 S. Kankakee St. in Coal City. It will be an evening of food, fun, music and dancing. The event will be catered by Big Fish Grille of Wilmington. Entertainment will provided by “Just Jim” and DJ “Aces Wild.”

Tickets are $50 a person. Ticket price includes: 125th anniversary celebration commemorative cup with one free drink ticket, party favor, free photo from Photo Concepts by Tom, appetizers, dinner and dessert. Raffle tickets also will be on sale for prize packages, which will be on display at the Berst Center after weekend masses, starting Feb. 15.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Assumption Building Fund Campaign.

This event is the first of several celebrations which will be held throughout the year as Assumption Parish celebrates the 125th anniversary of the first priest being sent by Bishop Feehan to the Village of Coal City.

Seating is limited. For tickets or information, contact the Assumption Parish Center at 815-634-4171.
