Morris Library to host “The White Sox – From the Very Beginning”

MORRIS – Presented by Richard C. Lindberg, this interactive presentation at the Morris Area Public Library at 6 p.m. March 25 spans the full gamut of White Sox history from Charles Comiskey and the “Dead Ball Era” and into the modern age, presenting an insider’s view of the team and its front office.

A slide presentation features many unusual and seldom seen images of Chicago’s beloved South Side team.

Lindberg is an author, a journalist and a research historian who has written and published more than 15 books dealing with aspects of Chicago city history, politics, criminal justice, sports and ethnicity. His books include “The Armchair Companion to Chicago Sports,” “The White Sox Encyclopedia,” “Stealing First in a Two-Team Town: The White Sox From Comiskey to Reinsdorf,” “Who’s on Third? The Chicago White Sox Story,” “Stuck on the Sox,” and the “Macmillan White Sox Encyclopedia.”

A lifelong fan of the Chicago White Sox, Lindberg is the official White Sox Historian.

The Morris Area Public Library is at 604 Liberty St. in Morris.
