MORRIS – Culver’s of Morris, 1919 N. Division St., is participating in the Muscular Dystrophy Association’s annual Shamrocks program.

The restaurant is encouraging customers to purchase a paper shamrock during the final weeks of the month-long program, which is in support of children and adults affected by muscle disease now until March 17.

Nearly 30 Culver’s locations in Northern Illinois have been supporting the fight against muscle disease since Feb. 15, and has raised $9,000 thus far, according to a press release.

Funds raised through 2014 Shamrock sales will help send area children affected by muscular dystrophy and related diseases to MDA summer camp in Hudson, Ill., among other services and life-saving research.

For information, contact MDA fundraising coordinator Megan Miller at 630-598-0700 or memiller@mdausa.org, or visit mda.org.
