A Mustang left the roadway while traveling east on Route 6 in Morris on Wednesday afternoon and ended up in the Aux Sable Creek.

MORRIS – A blue mustang headed east on Route 6 veered off the road and into Aux Sable Creek on Wednesday afternoon.

The driver sustained minimal injuries and does not recall what happened to cause the accident, Grundy County Sgt. Paul Clampitt said while on scene.

“The driver is alert, talking and walking around,” Clampitt said.

The driver was taken to Morris Hospital to determine whether he had a pre-existing medical condition that may have impaired the driver’s ability to operate the vehicle.

The car contained no passengers and no other vehicles were involved.

Earlier in the day Wednesday in Coal City, a vehicle drove into the front of a building at 205 S. Broadway Street causing minimal damage.

No one was injured in the incident, and only one vehicle was involved, said Nick Doerfler, spokesman for the Coal City Fire Protection District.
