MORRIS – The Morris Lions Club is again selling tickets to reserve a dozen lovely roses for delivery to local homes in its 30th Annual Rose Sale.
On the Saturday before Mother’s Day, the Morris Lions will deliver one dozen long-stem roses to those who have purchased tickets for a $16 donation. A new option the Lions are offering this year is the ability to order and pay for the roses online.
“Each year, we get phone orders where people would rather pay by credit card right then, instead of mailing a check, or taking cash to a Lion member,” said rose chairwoman Judy Miller in a news release.
“If I don’t have time during the day, or need to look up the street address, it’s easier from home,” Miller continued in the release, “And the PayPal page accepts either PayPal or credit cards.”
This fundraiser provides an excellent gift for Mother’s Day; a special treat for a spouse, parent, good friend or sweetheart; or simply provides a springtime splurge with lots of color for a nominal cost. Nearly 400 dozen roses will be delivered from 8 a.m. until noon May 10, with some deliveries available on Friday afternoon, May 9.
To take advantage of this offer, visit www.morrislionsclub.org, contact any Morris Lions Club member, or call 815-942-6634 to place an order for roses before Monday. The proceeds are used to help the vision impaired and other community projects.
