CHANNAHON – The Channahon Park District is working with the planning firm Hitchcock Design Group to develop an updated master plan for Central Park.

Located on Route 6 at Bluff Road, for nearly 30 years Central Park has provided open space and recreational opportunities to the community. The park district is looking to continue to make improvements and enhancements that allow the park to best continue providing these opportunities, according to a news release from the district.

The park district is inviting residents and park users to participate in this process by attending a Community Input Meeting, which is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Arrowhead Community Center, 24856 W. Eames St. The purpose of the meeting is to gather ideas from the public for Central Park.

Those unable to attend the meeting are invited to email ideas to Daryl Cole, superintendent of park planning, at dcole@channahonpark.org. For information, check out www.channahonpark.org.
