On the weekend of June 14 and 15, 2014, The Dollinger Family Farm in Channahon will be transformed into a battleground for Warriors, as it once again hosts the Illinois Warrior Dash!
Warrior Dash is the world’s largest obstacle race series, held on the most rugged terrain across six countries and four continents. Participants will bound over fire, trudge through mud and scale over obstacles during this fierce 5K. Participants earn their Warrior title by crossing the finish line. After conquering the Battleground, Warriors celebrate with turkey legs, beer steins, and live music at a post-race party in a league of its own.
This year, Warrior Dash brings, “Goliath”, the largest obstacle in its history, along with newer and larger additions to the event, ensuring that the course and festival area offer exciting experiences for both first-time participants and seasoned Warriors.
Warriors endure this muddy mayhem to make a difference. Over a million Warriors have stormed The Battleground and have raised $8.7 million (and counting) for St. Jude Children’s Hospital. The money raised from participants in this year’s event in Channahon will go towards the 2015 opening of the St. Jude Red Frog Events Proton Therapy Center, which will be the first proton radiation therapy center in the world dedicated solely to children, designed specifically to meet the needs of young patients.
