There are a lot of discussions happening lately about cover crops, using drones with farming and how rain gardens can help groundwater. Do you understand the benefits and how they all work? The Grundy County Soil & Water Conservation District will be hosting a Lady Landowner Day sponsored by AkzoNobel on July 10 that will answer these questions and more.
At 9 a.m. at the Grundy County office, 3605 N. Route 47 in Morris, participants will board a mini bus to visit two sites dealing with these topics. Once completed lunch will be held where participants also will listen to two guest speakers from AkzoNobel and Morris Hospital. The day will finish at 2 p.m.
The cost of the program is $15 per person. Call the Grundy County SWCD office to make a reservation by Wednesday. You may RSVP to the office by calling 815-942-0359, Ext. 3.
