MORRIS – The Morris Area Toastmasters recently elected Frank Hankins as President for the 2014-15 term.

Hankins, who held the position of educational vice president during the previous year, joined the club in 1991. As president, he will oversee club educational and leadership programs with a focus on achieving distinguised club goals, according to a news release from the club.

Other new officers include Christopher Boyk as educational vice president, Rich Lane as membership vice president, Matthew Moyner as public relations vice president, and Dwayne Mickelson as secretary-treasurer.

Morris Area Toastmasters meet at 7 p.m. on the second and fourth Tuesday of every month at the Morris Hospital Education Room. Members gain valuable experience by giving short speeches in front of the club. They also learn to speak off-the-cuff.

The club is currently looking for additional members. For information, call Frank Hankins at 815-942-4733 or Dwayne Mickelson at 815-210-4435.
