Human Resources Association to meet

JOLIET – The Grundy Will Human Resources Association will meet Wednesday to discuss "Emotionally Intelligent Leaders.”

Networking begins at 7:30 a.m. with the chapter meeting to begin at 7:45 a.m. at Joliet Junior College, 1215 Houbolt Road, Joliet. The one-hour program begins at 8 a.m. and may be eligible for one hour of continuing education credit. The GWHRA meeting and program are open to area human resource professionals and interested members of the business community. There is a $10 fee for non-members.

Emotional intelligence skills and competencies help propel success through effective self management and the abilities to build and manage good relationships with others, according to a news release. Program participants will learn more about emotional intelligence and will have the opportunity to assess their own skills. The program will be presented by Maureen Keane of Keane Communication & Consulting.

The Grundy Will HR Association is an affiliate of the Society for Human Resource Management. For information about Grundy Will HR Association, call Toby Atkinson at 630-343-3126.
