CHICAGO – A Joliet man wanted for stabbing a fellow employee at a Minooka warehouse was arrested by Chicago police Thursday night.
Minooka Police Chief Justin Meyer said Friday that Marshall L. Brown, the suspect who allegedly stabbed another employee July 11 at the World Class Distribution Inc. warehouse in Minooka, has been arrested.
"The suspect was picked up last night about 6 p.m. by Chicago police," Meyer said. "We are waiting for him to be transferred to Grundy County."
A warrant was issued July 12 in Grundy County for Brown, of the 200 block of North Broadway in Joliet, charging him with aggravated battery, according to Meyer. The warrant carries a $250,000 bond.
About 4:15 p.m. July 11, Brown and a 31-year-old Country Club Hills man were working inside a freezer unit at World Class Distribution, 1510 Cargo Court, when they began arguing, Meyer said in a previous interview. World Class Distribution ships products for Trader Joe's grocery stores.
"There was a disagreement between the two individuals and Brown allegedly stabbed his co-worker and fled the scene in a vehicle," Meyer said.
The victim was taken to Presence Saint Joseph Medical Center in Joliet after being stabbed multiple times. He was cooperating with police on the investigation. No new information on the victim was immediately available.
