Grundy County conservation district to hold tree, fish sales

MORRIS – The Grundy County Soil and Water Conservation District is holding its semiannual tree and fish sales. 

The trees, shrubs and plants available come in a variety of sizes and species. There are one gallon evergreens, maples and oaks to burning bushes, dogwoods and viburnums. The office also offers a selection of groundcovers and perennials to choose from, such as blackeyed susans, purple coneflowers and daylilies. 

For the fish sale there also is an assortment of fish to choose from and in different lengths.  From four to six inch channel catfish to five to eight inch largemouth bass. They also have an albino catfish that is six to eight inches long. 

To have an order form mailed, emailed or faxed to you, call 815-942-0359, ext. 3, or stop by the office in the USDA Service Center at 3605 N. Route 47, Morris. Both order forms also are available at or on Facebook by searching Grundy County Soil & Water Conservation District. 

The tree order forms are due Sept. 11 and will be delivered Sept. 18. For the fish orders, the triploid grass carp orders are due Oct. 9 and all other orders are due Oct. 20 by noon. They will be delivered on Oct. 27.
