WILMINGTON – On Saturday join volunteers from Midewin National Tallgrass Prairie for an interpretive ride through portions of Midewin which are not yet open to the public.
Learn about the history of the land and how it is being managed today. Please note: horse and rider will have to cross bridges and share the trail system with cattle. Participants must bring their own horses, according to a news release.
The tour will begin at 10 a.m. and meets at South Arsenal and Chicago roads. Plan to spend about two hours on this escorted tour.

MORRIS – Park Pointe Senior Living is holding an old fashioned state fair Aug. 23 at its Morris location,1221 Edgewater Drive.
