Is excess hair putting you in a hairy situation?
Forego the shaving, tweezing and waxing and try laser hair removal instead.
The procedure is an effective way to get rid of rid of unwanted facial and body hair, patients come in every six weeks for six to eight sessions and the process takes about eight months said Kathe Malinowski, lead esthetician and marketing manager for Eterna MedSpa & Laser Vein Center.
“Laser hair removal is usually done because people want to get rid of unwanted facial hair,” she said. “(But) we do plenty of laser hair removal for legs, bikini, underarms, men's backs and chest, also.”
While laser hair removal can cause some discomfort, “if the hair really bothers you it is totally worth it,” Malinowski said.
And topicals are used to help dull the pain on more sensitive areas such as the bikini line, lip and chin.
Laser hair removal can be done on most parts of the body, except the ears and eyebrows. And through the procedure, hundreds of hair follicles can be disabled in less than one second.
Hair growth takes place in cycles of growth and resting phases. Only hair that is actively growing can be removed at each treatment session so several treatment sessions will be necessary.
Concerned about the cost?
“We have our treatment priced relatively affordable,” Malinowski said.
