Health department employees have fun with ‘Chalk the Walks Day’

Employees at the Grundy County Health Department took part this week in Chalk the Walk.

MORRIS – On Tuesday, the designated Chalk the Walks Day, more than 4,000 people chalked in every state in the United States, as well as in Australia, Brazil, Canada, England, Mexico, New Zealand and Scotland, according to information found on the Chalk the Walks web page.

Grundy County Health Department employees chalked the walk outside the front entrance to the Grundy County Administration Building, according to a news release from the county.

Chalk the Walks (a project of the Joy Team) is all about spreading joy, optimism and inspiration through the magical power of sidewalk chalk, according to the news release. The idea is simple as it was in childhood: write happy messages, have fun doing it, and spread some joy while you’re at it.
