Metropolitan Alliance of Police to begin annual telephone solicitation in Minooka

MINOOKA – The Minooka Police is informing residents the Metropolitan Alliance of Police, which represents the department’s officers for the purpose of collective bargaining and other legal services, will soon begin its annual telephone solicitation.

People making the calls are not members of the Minooka Police Department, as telephone solicitations for money from this department is prohibited, according to a news release from Police Chief Justin Meyer.

Those making the calls represent MAP and the donations will fund the services MAP provides for officers. Donations do not become property of the police department, according to Meyer.
