Last year, the Grundy County Chamber of Commerce & Industry launched its first Chamber Trip program, inviting our local residents to book their vacation through the Chamber. This year, the program is back and getting ready to travel to Ireland.

In 2016, a group of residents traveled to Italy, touring the ruins of Pompeii, taking in the beauty of the Amalfi Coast, and tasting some of the world’s best wine – all while supporting the Grundy Chamber.

The 2017 trip will be departing on Oct. 16 for an eight-day trip to explore Limerick, Cliffs of Moher, Galway, Dingle, the Rock of Cashel, Kilkenny Castle, and Bunratty Castle. There also is an option for a two-day extension to Dublin, Ireland’s breathtaking capital, which includes a visit to Trinity College, St. Patrick’s Cathedral and Connell Street.

Ireland’s views and pubs alone will be worth the trip, and we’ll add excursions, such as a medieval-style dinner and entertainment in a castle built in 1425. If booked by June 15, you will receive a $200 savings with a total of $2,699 per person price, which includes your round-trip airfare, transfers, hotel stay, breakfast each morning, a unique dinner, tours, excursions and more.

With online travel sites, we know you could plan a trip like this yourself, but why go through the trouble. Let the Chamber do the work for you so you can spend your time packing and reading up on Ireland while we handle the details.
