VETERANS DAY PARADE AND OBSERVANCE

WHEN: 10:30 a.m. to noon Nov. 11

WHERE: Parade begins at Chapin Park in Morris and continues down Liberty Street to the Grundy County Courthouse lawn in Morris. American Legion Post 294 will host an observance at 11 a.m. To walk in parade, be at park by 10 a.m. If weather is inclement, event will be held at Morris High School.

VETERANS DAY PROGRAM

WHEN: 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Nov. 11

WHERE: Coal City High School auditorium, Coal City

COST & INFO: Speakers from the VFW, American Legion, Daughters of the American Revolution, Abraham Lincoln Cemetery and David Welter. Music by the Coal City High School madrigals, Sharon Hawkinson, Rita Wise and Pete Bianchetta, Timeline display celebrating 100 year anniversary of World War I. Flag ceremony.
