Living Water Church
Living Water Church of the Nazarene, located at 118 E. Jefferson St. in Morris (in the old movie theater), invites you to worship with the Rev. Steve Cook.
Opportunities to worship are:
• 7 p.m. Wednesdays for Bible study class, led by Cook.
• 7 p.m. Thursdays for prayer night, a silent time of worship in the sanctuary.
Looking ahead to November:
• Friday, Nov. 10, 7 p.m.: Free Movie Night – A family-friendly movie on the big screen.
• Tuesday, Nov. 21 – Community Thanksgiving Worship Night: A time of worship and praise at 7 p.m.
• Saturday. Nov. 25 – Children’s Fun Fair from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. (to run during Morris’ Home for the Holidays event).
ICS Veterans Recognition
Immaculate Conception School will hold an assembly to honor veterans at 8:05 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 9, in the Doctor Connor Gym.
Veterans are invited to join in the assembly. There will be a reception in the St. Angela Room after the assembly. Veterans who are parents and grandparents of ICS students, as well as other area veterans, are invited to participate.
ICS senior citizens Thanksgiving lunch
The ICS Student Council will sponsor its annual Thanksgiving Lunch for Senior Citizens at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 16, in the St. Angela Room.
Guests will be served a turkey lunch with all the trimmings.
There is no charge for those attending. All area seniors are invited.
To reserve a place, call the school office at 815-942-4111 to reserve a place. This event is sponsored each year as a service project of the Student Council.
ICS Hunger Walk
Immaculate Conception School and the Immaculate Conception Religious Education Office will again sponsor the Annual Hunger Walk. The event will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 12, at the Doctor Connor Gym.
Participants are asked to seek sponsors for a 4-mile walk They may either walk all or part of the distance. All of the proceeds from the walk will be shared among area food pantries.
These include pantries at We Care, Immaculate Conception Parish, and Mazon-Verona-Kinsman Food Pantry.
The income from the walk will help pantries during the Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons.
The Hunger Walk is open to both students and adults and is a fine service project for students seeking community service hours.

Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary
The parish will be holding a dedication of its newly renovated church building 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, at 195 S. Kankakee St. in Coal City.
Bishop Joseph Siegel, auxiliary bishop of the Diocese of Joliet, will preside at the dedication. A reception will be held immediately following the dedication at Berst Hall, across the street from the church. RSVP by calling the parish office at 815-634-4171.
