MINOOKA — A 77-year-old man and a 39-year-old man were injured after their vehicles collided Thursday afternoon in Minooka.

Kendall County Sheriff's deputies responded just after 2:30 p.m. to the intersection of Ridge Road and Holt Road in Minooka for the reported crash, according to a news release from the Sheriff's Office.

Ronald Stewart, 77, of Channahon, was attempting to turn left from Holt Road onto Ridge Road, while Michael Platt, 39, of Montgomery, drove north on Ridge Road.

The two vehicles crashed in the intersection, and both men were transported to area hospitals. Steward was cited for failing to yield while turning left and operating an uninsured vehicle. Platt was also cited for operating an uninsured vehicle.

Minooka police helped to direct traffic on the scene.
