MORRIS — The Shabbona eighth-grade boys basketball team lost a 40-27 decision to Winfield Wheaton Christian in the championship game of the IESA Class 3A Saratoga Regional on Thursday.

The Braves, who entered the regional as the first seed, were led by Jorge Loza's nine points, while Zach Romak added eight. Myles Johnson scored four points for Shabbona, while Aidan Romak scored three.
