MORRIS – Kendall-Grundy Community Action has announced it has funds available for the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program. The program provides home energy assistance for low-income households through Kendall-Grundy Community Action.
To qualify for assistance households must have income less than or equal to 150 percent of the federal poverty level. For a family of four, this would equal $3,075 of income in a 30-day period. Required documentation includes a social security card for every household member, proof of income for the past 30 days for anyone age 18 and older, and a current gas bill or electric bill.
Eligible families can apply before the end of May or until all the funds have been exhausted. For those in Grundy County who have not applied since October 2017, call 815-941-3262.
