Strider Learn to Ride a Bike camp
For children ages 3 to 5 and 30 to
38 inches tall, the camp will be held by the Channahon Park District from 9 to
10 a.m. July 16 to 20. The goal of the Strider Camp is to provide a solid foundation of balance and the ability to stride. Riding a bike is a life milestone, and Strider camp will provide the tools to teach children to ride on two wheels.
Strider No-Pedal Balance Bikes were developed specifically to help toddlers and children of all abilities to learn balance and coordination before pedaling.
The simple, no-pedal design allows even the youngest children to learn to ride a bike, avoiding tricycle tip-overs and training wheel wobbles and instilling considerable confidence and stellar bike handling skills sure to last a lifetime.
Strider No-Pedal Balance Bikes encourage the development of spatial awareness, balance and basic motor skills so that all children can reach their maximum riding potential faster, better and safer. Kids will be able to take their bike home to continue to practice the skills learned. The first day of class will have a $120 bike deposit secured. At the end of the class, kids can keep the bike and forfeit the deposit – or return the bike and we will return the $120.
The camp will take place at the Heritage Crossing Field House and the cost is $41 for residents and $53 for nonresidents, plus a $120 bike deposit. For information, call Jennifer Mensik at 815-467-7275 or email email@example.com.
