MORRIS – OSF HealthCare, which operates medical centers in nearby Ottawa, Streator and Pontiac, is opening a location in Morris. The signs for OSF Urgo are up on a building at 1715 N. Divison St. in the Archway Plaza.
Little information is available on what services the location will provide. The OSF website only includes “coming soon” for the location, and it is the only location with the name Urgo.
“The OSF HealthCare Ministry is excited to be able to grow health care delivery options in communities where we have been called to serve. More information about specific services to be offered in Morris will be coming in two to three weeks. We look forward to sharing it!” OSF media relation coordinator Mike Robinson said in an email.
OSF is owned and operated by the Sisters of the Third Order of St. Francis and based in Peoria.
Founded in 1877, it includes
13 acute care facilities and operated two colleges of nursing. It operates facilities in Illinois and Michigan.
OSF HealthCare owns OSF Saint Francis, Inc., which includes health care-related businesses and OSF HealthCare Foundation, the nonprofit arm of OSF HealthCare.
