Author, speaker, comedian, and cancer survivor Tracy DeGraaf will be featured at the Joshua 1:9 Mission “Sweet Tea with Jesus” fundraiser at 2 p.m. Aug. 25 at First United Methodist Church, 118 W. Jackson St. in Morris.
Tickets are $20 and available in advance at www.joshua19mission.org/tea-party.
Limited tickets will be available at the door for $25 (tea cup keepsake not guaranteed). The event will include a southern-style tea party including light hors d’oeuvres, comedy, purse auction, and an opportunity for photos in front of an antique backdrop.
DeGraaf performs around the country bringing her positive message of “Life Happens Laugh Anyway” to fundraisers and programs at churches, hospitals and other non-profit organizations.
DeGraaf is also the author of "Laugh Anyway Mom," a collection of funny stories about raising five boys.

Joshua 1:9 Mission is a 501C3 registered in Marseilles. It exists to provide encouragement via handmade cards and packages mailed to cancer patients during their treatment.
Founder and Executive Director Tia Warmack launched the organization after her mom died following pancreatic cancer.
Warmack is hoping to raise at least $2,000 at the fundraiser and the organization plans to use the money to expand.
