Polling place changes for Coal City precints

County clerk alerting residents of new polling place

Grundy County Clerk Kay Olson has informed voters of a recent polling place change within Maine Township.

The Maine 1 voting precinct will be moved to the board room at the Coal City Unit District Administration Building located at 550 S. Carbon Hill Rd, Coal City.

The previous polling location for Maine 1 was the Community Room in the Coal City Middle School.

The County Clerk’s Office apologizes for the late notice, but just received notification that the previous location could not be utilized. The new location is located on the same campus and will be well marked.

Voters in Maine Township will be sent postcards immediately notifying them of the change, and a sign will also be posted on the door of the previous location.

Voters with questions or concerns may contact the Clerk’s Office at 815-941-3222, or at elections@grundyco.org.
