Four go to hospital, one charged after 4 vehicle crash near Saratoga School

MORRIS – A Morris woman was charged with driving under the influence after an accident Thursday afternoon near the entrance to Saratoga Elementary School.

Morris police report that at about 3:04 p.m., Tasha Norris, 30, was southbound on Route 47 when she struck a vehicle as her Black sport utility vehicle passed the north entrance to the school's parking lot.

"That collision caused her vehicle to leave the roadway and strike a second vehicle that was waiting in the school driveway to turn south onto Route 47," according to a Morris police press release. "Nelson's vehicle then continued through the school parking lot and struck a dumpster, pushing it into a third vehicle."

Morris police said that four people were transported to Morris Hospital. Norris is charged with driving under the influence of drugs, disobeying a traffic control device, improper lane usage, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and operating an uninsured vehicle. She posted bond and was released, according to Morris police.
