The Morris Herald-News started the Women of Distinction award in 2013 by honoring three women you probably know: Barb Rath, Joan Sereno and Pam Simpson.
Since then, we have had the privilege to recognize Judy Miller, Lori Watson and Linda Wiesbrook in 2014; Lori Cora, Sandi Dransfeldt and Janine Petric in 2015; Brittney Kaluzny, Karen Nall and Jennifer Price in 2016; Andrea Gustafson, Jan Hibler and Cathy Milne in 2017; and Megan Bugg, Marlee Harford and Alexa Rain in 2018.
It has been such an honor to get to know these women. They are pillars in the community, and Grundy County is a better place because of the impact they have made. They demonstrate what it truly means to give back and make a difference.
Do you know someone who you think should join our prestigious Women of Distinction alumnae?
The Women of Distinction Award is given to three women who have made a difference in and around Grundy County and are representative role models as leaders in their fields and communities.
Each year’s recipients are chosen by the previous year’s winner and we will celebrate them at a luncheon in October at the Morris Country Club.
