Theresa Bohler

Died: Aug. 17, 2013; in Ottawa

OTTAWA – Mrs. Theresa (Bayuk) Bohler, 85, of Ottawa, passed away Saturday, Aug. 17, 2013, at her daughter’s home in Ottawa. 

Mass of Christian Burial for Theresa will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 21, at St. Patrick’s Church in Ottawa, with the Rev. Ray Guthrie officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 20, at Ottawa Funeral Home. She will be buried in Calvary Cemetery.

Theresa was born Sept. 10, 1927, in Ottawa, to Mathias and Katherine (Simonich) Bayuk. She married Joseph A. Bohler Sr. on Oct. 16, 1948, at St. Francis of Assisi Church.

He passed away May 30, 1977. She worked as a Certified Nurses Assistant at Pleasant View. She was a member of Holy Family Society in Joliet.

She is survived by three daughters, Peggy Pool of Ransom, Kathryn Smith of Itasca, and Mary Ann (Steven) Johnson of Ottawa; two sons, Joseph (Barb) Bohler Jr. of Ottawa and John (Debbie) Bohler of Ottawa; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; a special cousin, Vernie Williams of Ottawa; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three brothers; two sisters; and her son-in-law, Jerry Pool.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Craig and Eric Pool, Peter and Ryan Bohler, Steven Johnson and Scott Burgwald.

Honorary pallbearers will be Steve Loughridge and Steve Johnson.
