Officers arrived at 2001 Great Falls Drive in Joliet around 2:50 p.m. Thursday. The home is located in a subdivision near County Line Road and Apple Gate Drive.
They were met by a person who directed them into the home, where the three adult victims were discovered, a news release from the Joliet Police Department said.
The incident is being investigated as a homicide. The names of the victims are not being released pending autopsies by the Will County Coroner and notification of next-of-kin.
Neighbors Brenda Guethle and her son Brad Guethle said they knew the family who lived at the home where the homicides took place. Both said Anthony McGee, 22, a son in the family who Brad Guethle was once friends with was one of the victims, along with the son's girlfriend and another person.
Brenda Guethle said she spoke with Anthony McGee’s mother Thursday night, who reportedly said her son was inside the home dead.
Brenda Guethle said she couldn't believe it.
“It’s really disbelief. It’s two doors from my house. It’s people that I know … Friends. It’s shocking. I really hope they catch whoever this was,” she said.
Police had not returned calls seeking comment for further details on the incident but were still on the scene investigating Friday morning.
