#GiveGrundy We Care of Grundy County

SPONSORED

Crisis can happen to anyone. Illness, job loss, natural disaster, loss of a loved one--these are just a few things that can turn our lives upside down. It is never just one thing that takes a person who is making it on their own to suddenly needing a helping hand.

We Care of Grundy County was established to be that helping hand in times of crisis by providing the basic necessities for people who are struggling to provide for themselves.  By offering services such as food assistance, rent/mortgage and utility assistance, back-to-school and holiday assistance, We Care helps bridge the gap between crisis and self-sufficiency.  We Care’s services are open to anyone who lives in Grundy County and earns an income of 200% of the federal poverty level or below.

In June of 2016, We Care took a giant leap forward in helping people face their struggles head on. Through partnership with the Salvation Army and a grant from the Community Foundation of Grundy County, We Care began  to offer “Pathway of Hope”, a program that is designed for people who are struggling and want to make a change for the better. The program focuses on a person’s individual strengths, helps them to set goals designed to alleviate their crisis, provides spiritual support along the way, and holds them accountable for their life while guiding them toward independence.

How can you help?
