Working in funeral service over the past 25 years, I have always found morning breakfast the most difficult meal for me to fit into my schedule. Whether it be because I’m thrown off from being out assisting a family in the middle of the night or finalizing details before a morning funeral. It is one meal that I have easily overlooked and skipped more times than I can count.
There is a tremendous benefit to eating breakfast, and not only do experts say that eating a healthy breakfast is key to starting your day – there is proof that you think better as well as perform better.
A basic formula to create a well-balanced breakfast is to pair proteins with carbs. Such examples could be cereals, bread or fresh fruit for carbs and low-fat milk or yogurt for protein. The Carbs are the fuel that give you energy and the proteins help you carry you through to your next meal.
In addition, a healthy breakfast helps maintain weight, control blood sugar levels and is good for your heart!
