The Joliet Junior College communications and marketing division took home six Medallion Awards at the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations District 3 conference Oct. 28 to Oct. 30 in Toledo, Ohio.

The college won top honors for its new website, which debuted in December 2017. The website was developed in partnership with the information technology division and the digital firm BarkleyREI.

The website serves as the college’s digital front door, guiding prospective students and their families through JJC’s more than 180 programs and career pathways, plus displays the latest campus news and events.

JJC took home two silver Medallions for Fall 2017 and Spring 2018 Connections Magazine, as well as in the Radio Advertisement category. It received bronze for Excellence in Writing, Social Media or Online Marketing Campaign, and Viewbook.

There were over 350 total submissions across 38 categories.

NCMPR District 3 includes community colleges in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Wisconsin and the Canadian province of Ontario.
