With the upcoming Birdies, Bogeys & Brews Golf Outing Sept. 13 we’ve been discussing participation options with members. I was recently asked “How does a $50 golf cart sponsorship better my business,” which led to a great discussion on brand recognition.
The golf outing, like many of our events and programs, provide multiple opportunities for Chamber members to meet new customers, spend time with clients, and partake in team building. We also understand that when you are busy running your business, leaving to attend Chamber activities can be difficult.
No one can be at everything. We suggest starting with one thing – whether it’s you as the owner or manager, or designate a staffer to take on the responsibility. Part of building your business is being seen. If you can’t be seen in person- make your brand seen.
Having your logo on a golf cart may not necessarily make a potential customer stop in front of the cart and pick up the phone and call, putter in hand. But what it will do is make them see your logo, recognize your business and when they do need a service or product you provide – they will remember you.
People like to do business with people they know. Businesses they recognize. The more you and your brand are seen, the more you are their first thought when they need something you have. Sponsorships, giveaways, chatting with someone new at a Business After Hours – all of these “touches” leave your brand with potential customers.
If you’re interested in golfing, sponsoring or volunteering for our Birdies, Bogeys & Brews Golf Outing presented by D’Arcy Morris Sept. 13 at Heritage Public Golf Club in Channahon please contact the Chamber at 815-942-0113 or visit grundychamber.com. The golf outing is 9 holes and ends with lunch and brews at River Hawk Brewing in Channahon.
Golf is $95 per golfer and your day includes driving range, snacks and beverages, golf & cart, activities, raffles, lunch, and (1) beer at River Hawk Brewing. A foursome is $400 which includes all of the above, plus a raffle ticket and mulligan for each player.
Plan to join us at these future events where you can meet your next customer. Bring lots of business cards.
