United Way of Grundy County has awarded a $6,000 grant to Will-Grundy Medical Clinic.
As one of United Way’s funded community partners, such grant funding assists with the mission of the clinic to provide access to healthcare through various volunteer resources.
“United Way of Grundy County proudly supports and appreciates all the great work that WGMC does to create a healthy community by helping those in need in Grundy County,” said Karen Nall, executive director of the United Way Grundy County.
“United Way of Grundy County and WGMC share a vision of unifying our communities by improving peoples’ lives,” said Shawn Marconi, executive director of Will-Grundy Medical Clinic. “We are very grateful to have a partner and friend in United Way.”
The mission of the Will-Grundy Medical Clinic is to promote a healthy community by providing free health care services to people in Will and Grundy counties who are unable to receive care from other sources, as well as providing services through health care professional volunteers, together with a paid staff, in alliance with other community agencies and healthcare providers.
The United Way of Grundy County aims to financially support its agencies grants, focusing on fulfilling urgent and basic needs, improving financial stability, helping youths succeed, increasing independence and promoting health and wellness.
