Grundy County Soil and Water Conservation District to host water seminar

The Grundy County Soil and Water Conservation District, along with the Kendall County Soil and Water Conservation District, will be holding its Annual Pond Seminar on Tuesday, March 3, at 6 p.m. at the Grundy County Farm Bureau office located at 4000 N. Division St. in Morris, north I-80 on Route 47.

This year's featured speaker will Seth Love, District Fisheries Biologist from Silver Springs State Park in Yorkville.

Love is very informative about fish and pond care, and will do a great job of answering any questions someone may have about their personal pond.

Love will also also cover maintenance of retention/detention ponds for subdivisions or businesses.

The seminar is open to everyone and is free of charge. Anyone wanting to attend should RSVP to the office at 815-942-0359, extension 3, by Monday, March 2 to reserve a spot. A light dinner will also be available.
