Restaurants in Morris and Grundy County are planning to adjust their operations as mandatory closures of dine-in services get set to take effect after business hours on Monday.
Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker took an unprecedented step Sunday to stem the spread of the coronavirus pandemic by ordering bars and restaurants in the state closed to the public starting on Tuesday, March 17.
Establishments will remain open to drive-thru and delivery service, but in-store dining will be closed through March 30. Restaurants and bars must close at the end of their business day Monday.
The following is a list of local businesses that plan to incorporate curbside pickup or delivery options.
Greenhorn Saloon – 303 Bedford Road in Morris, 815-513-5671
Greenhorn will be open for carryout and will start delivering locally in Morris on Tuesday. The delivery service is a new addition, so the restaurant advises folks to order for pickup if possible. Delivery will be available during lunch and dinner rushes. Greenhorn will also have the walking taco trailer from Cornfest set up in the parking lot. Walking tacos, loaded nachos, pulled pork, lemon shakeups and more will be available.
Tully’s Monster Pub & Grill – 104 Liberty St. in Morris, 815-941-5098
Tully’s will still be offering its free delivery or curbside pickup service. Call for details on times as they will vary as demand changes.
Sam’s Pizza –123 W. Washington St. in Morris, 815-942-5675
Sam’s Pizza in Morris will still remain open, delivering during normal times from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m. on weekdays and 4 p.m. to 4 a.m. on weekends. Pickup also is available with a full menu.
Brewed Awakenings – 1359 Division St. in Morris, 815-513-5567
The drive-thru at the coffee shop will be open, as the restaurant works on plans to possibly add curbside pickup options.
Morris Chop Shop – 701 Liberty St. in Morris, 815-710-5006
The Morris Chop Shop will operate kitchens for curbside pickup and delivery orders. The restaurant is working to put together a plan to provide uninterrupted service to the community, including delivery.
Maria’s Ristorante – 1591 N. Division St. in Morris, 815-942-3351
Maria’s will remain open during regular hours for carryout and delivery, and also has many catering options available as well for your family at home.
Liberty Street Cafe – 511 N. Liberty St. in Morris, 815-941-4355
Liberty Street will be offering curbside pickup as well as delivery options.
Montage Wine Bar & Spirits – 307 Liberty St. in Morris, 815-941-1006
Montange is offering curbside pickup and delivery in Morris. Charcuterie boards, take-and-bake flatbreads, wine, spirits and beer are all included.
Here’s how it works: Send a message with your order, and they’ll send you an invoice with a Paypal link to pay. You can also call to order and pay by phone. Payment upon delivery will not be accepted.
Delivery and curbside pickup times are from noon to 2 p.m. and then 5 to 7 p.m. Monday though Saturday and could vary depending demand. Please note, all alcohol deliveries are 21 and over and only to the person who placed the order. Valid identification of the person placing the order will be required upon delivery. Closing hours may vary.

Bellacino’s will continue to offer carryout and delivery to all of our customers. The restaurant is working on plans and will update on social media when available.
