"I already had some applications e-mailed to me by morning," Kopczick said Tuesday. "We hope to have the checks out within a week.
"We really worked hard to make it as easy as possible. Some of the federal and state applications are like the Great American Novel by the time you get done. We wanted to make it as quick and easy as possible so that our local businesses can stay afloat. If they have $1,500 to help with their lease, then that's $1,500 they can spend elsewhere to keep their businesses going."
Kopczick said that the application forms can be found at www.morrisil.org.
In other action, the council approved the list of bills to be paid by the City.
