It’s pretty hard to beat pizza for drive-thru pickup, and for my money, it’s pretty hard to beat Pizza Hut. I know, perhaps this is a boomer thing, but I’ve been a Pizza Hut customer since I was a teen, and for me, their menu is a connection to happy times before I ever heard the word “coronavirus.”
There are other connections, too. I dated a young woman in college who was a Pizza Hut waitress when she wasn’t a student, and hey, I ended up marrying her! Pizza Hut’s Family Night and Book It reading incentive program for kids brought our young family to the Hut again and again. They even had place mats the kids could flip over and color while we waited for our order, which was much appreciated.
My favorite pizza, you ask? Large, thin crust, Super Supreme, please. Because few others in the family like black olives and onions, I can always count on plenty of leftovers. Yum!
