MORRIS — Morris Community High School athletic director Jeff Johnson released the following announcement regarding changes at the football stadium for the upcoming season:
Due to the uncertainty of the start of the upcoming football season, we will not be selling assigned football season tickets. However, we will sell home football season passes. The benefit of purchasing a season pass will allow pass holders to avoid waiting in long lines. Once the IHSA makes a final decision on fall sports, we will provide information regarding the purchase of football season passes.
MCHS is in the process of completing a major stadium renovation project. This includes a state of the art scoreboard, synthetic turf field, and new bleachers with handicap accessibility that will accommodate 1,338 seats. Our new home side blachers will provide excellent seating for our fans and a new press box for our coaches, media and film crew.
Another big change is that we have moved the home side seating to the west side. You will no longer look into the sun and will have better access to our fieldhouse restrooms and concessions. Spectators may still enter through the main entrance, main gym or the fieldhouse door (#31) entrance. The west gate entrance will no longer be available.
I am very excited and I know each of you will enjoy our new stadium. I appreciate your continued support of the Morris Redskins Football program. Pleace contact me at 815-941-5335 or email@example.com if you have any questions.
