Grundy teens with an entrepreneurial spirit are invited to join the new GEEK Club – Grundy Enterprise for Entrepreneurial Kids.
This project is a collaboration of the Community Foundation of Grundy County and the public libraries serving Grundy County: Morris, Coal City, Three Rivers and Fossil Ridge. Teens in grades nine through 12 are invited to join.
Teens can apply to be GEEK members at www.surveymonkey.com/r/3K8BP86. Those who apply before Oct. 22 will be invited to the first informational Zoom meeting at 4 p.m. Oct. 22.
The plan is to have the GEEKs meet via Zoom twice a month. At each meeting, they will have a speaker to discuss entrepreneurship as well as any other ideas the GEEKs decide they would like to hear about.
"We're just starting off," said Julianne Buck, executive director of CFGC. "So we look forward to getting input from the GEEKs about how they'd like their club to be run."
All GEEK meetings will be supervised by administrators from CFGC and the teen librarians.
